Hi there, and thanks so much for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I know you’re time is valuable, so I won’t take up too much of it, but there are a few things I’d love to share with you.
First of all, I want you to know you are in good hands with me. I was born and raised on the Northshore, and spend much of my young adult life living in the city before returning north to raise my family. So, I know both of these markets inside and out. I think that’s a real rarity.
This, along with the fact that everything I do, I do with a tremendous amount of dedication, integrity, compassion, friendliness, creativity and a willingness to work my tail off, has brought me a great deal of success. I am ranked in the top 2% of Prudential real estate agents nation wide and in the top 1% within our Chicago Company. I don’t say this to be proud – I just want you to know that if we work together, this is the level of commitment and expertise I will bring to you.
In addition to top tiered success, I bring a few other things I believe are truly unique. One is an understanding of the bigger picture. Your home is about more than property. It’s about possibility. And our time together is about more than a transaction, it’s about transition. Which means we will always move at a pace that is comfortable for you. If you are in a hurry and need your place sold quickly, I most certainly have the resources and determination to do that for you. But if you are like most people, the fact is you might need a little time to transition into the place that feels really, genuinely right for you.
Gut instinct is such a very important part of our process. Home isn’t just a physical place. It’s an emotional space. A feeling. And, in my opinion, that feeling cannot be underestimated. “You’ll know when you know.” This is something I always say. Which is why I am always willing to take the time to make sure you are making your decisions based on confidence and certainty. You will never feel rushed when working with me. It doesn’t matter if it takes a week or a year, what matters is that you feel good about the decision you make. Instinct plays an important role when buying or selling a house, and I believe it’s a part of my job to help you trust yours.
And doing so has brought me professional success and personal fulfillment, for which I am so thankful. I believe gratitude is best displayed through action. And when I look at how my clients have helped me build such a successful, financially secure business and, in turn, create such a wonderful life, it only makes sense to me to give in a way that makes others’ lives better as well.
And, as with most everything else in my life, my inspiration for how to do that has come from my son, Emmett and my husband, Paul. Nothing has increased, improved or expanded our family’s understanding of what home means than Emmett. His open, generous heart has expanded my capacity to love and give in ways that continue to surprise and delight me.
Emmett was born with Down Syndrome. And at that time, one of my nurses literally said, “I’m sorry.”
In that moment, holding that beautiful child that this woman somehow thought required apologizing for, I knew that other homes just like mine were going to need some support.
And so, in May of 2013, on Emmett Kyoshi’s birthday, I am opening the doors of a new foundation called Happy2You. This foundation will support homes with Down Syndrome children in every way possible. The needs of families are unique. They span the gambit from an in depth medical understanding of how to care for these children through every phase of their physical development to providing the emotional support that nurtures that development, to guiding the creation of relationships and environments in which these children as well as every other member of the family will grow and thrive.
Simply by having the confidence and trust to allow me to buy or sell your home, you bring comfort and care into the home of someone else. Because every time you close a sale with me, I open the doors of Happy2You to another family in need of this support.
